Well actually you can teach mew the move called transformation. this move will allow mew to breed with others just like a ditto i am not sure but i think that if you have two mews they can make a mew (transformation can be learned with heart scale)

Your unable to catch a wild mew on pearl im afraid, as there are only two ways to catch a mew: 1. Use a cheat cartridge 2. Trade it over from Older Pokemon games( and its a nightmare to get 'im on them as well...) Soz to burst your bubble, but why not try trading it over the GTS( Global Trading Station)? u may get a Japanese mew but at least u will have one...i would do that but there are three problams.
