How do you get to the gym leader in sunyshore city on Pokemon pearl?

to get to sunyshore you have to catch dialga,palkia or girantina depending on which game your using.when youre in sunyshore (after you bump into the dude with an afro),go to the light house and go inside.then it takes you up and you will see the gym leader. (he is using the binoculars).

well when you first come into sunshore city,you want to go up the flight of stairs,keep going to the right(ignore the paths below you)turn upand turn left and keep going straight and that's where the gym is but first you have to go to the vista lighthouse to bring him back because he may not be there when you first go to the gym but the leader is standing at the binoculars in the lighthouse and you will have to go back to the gym and cross the gym and then you start the battle
