How do you make a robot to do whatever you want?

First, you tie him into a wooden chair in a stark room, lit by only one bare light bulb hanging down from the ceiling. Then, you place a desk lamp on a table, turning it on, you let it glare directly into its optical sensors and then you start an incessant series of questions, repeated over and over until you either receive the answer you want, or the robot finally goes into some type of self protect mode and then shuts down......

You could just simply program some microprocessors and avoid the whole other thing...
