first we connect the 3 volt meter in three loads then we measure the voltage and find the resistance of the loads then put the formula p=v/r

so in this method we get the power by using 3 volt meter ....(prashant)

How do you measure 3 phase voltage?

Three phase voltage can be measure line to line (L1-L2, L2-L3, or L1-L3) with a quality digital voltmeter. In the United States, typical 3 phase voltage is 208-230VAC, or 460-480VAC measured line to line. Line to ground or neutral with a 208-230V system will yield 110-120VAC, which provides standard household power for things like televisions and microwave ovens.

What happens when voltmeter is connected in parallel?

An ideal voltmeter has infinite impedance(resistance). If you were to break the circuit and put it in series and try to make a measurement, it is easy to see that the circuit would act completely differently and your measurement would be wrong. An ideal ammeter is always connected in series because it has 0 resistance, so all of the current would flow through it, and not through the wire that you are trying to measure the current of.A better answer though is to think about what you are trying to measure. When you say something is 3 Volts, that is a difference between the voltages at two different points. If you want to see what the voltage drop across a resistor is, for example, you need to put one probe of the voltmeter on one side of the resistor and the other probe on the other side of the resistor. That setup is simply called being in parallel.Voltage is potential difference between two points, hence measured across or in parallel, where as current is measured in series since current flows (*)

A voltmeter is connected to the terminals of a battery that has emf 12.0V and internal resistance 3.00 ohms The battery is not connected to any other external circuitry What is the vmeter's reading?

The voltmeter would read 12 volts. An ammeter connected to to battery would only read 4 amps (12 volts divided by 3 ohms =4)

How do you measure electric potential?

A voltmeter is an instrument used to measure electric potential difference. The voltmeter have two electrodes, reference electrode and test electrode, the electrodes are put in two different places where you want to find the potential difference. For instance, if the test electrode is placed on the positive pole and the reference electrode on the negative pole of a 3V battery, the voltmeter would read '+3 volts'.

How do you measure 3 water balloons in water?

What is the three ammeter method?

I am assuming that you really want to use ammeters to measure power in a balanced 3 phase system. (hope you are not meaning 3 watt meter method) Power in Watt in a three phase system is equal to 1.73 x line voltage x line current x power factor. You need to know line voltage, power factor also in addition to current to compute the power. If the system is balanced then actually you do not need to connect ammeters in all three lines. One ammeter reading will do.

Write down the advantage of 2-wattmeter method instead of 3-wattmeter method for measuring ac power?

It's cheaper.

Why do you use cubic units to measure objects?

Cubic units are used to measure 3-Dimensional objects. The cubic(x to the third power) units are used to demonstrate the 3 dimensions.

What is the conclusion of the experiment 3-ammeter method of measuring single phase power and power factor?

This is too complicated to describe on this forum, but there are lots of web pages that describe the 'three-ammeter' method of measuring power, so your best plan is to visit one of those sites.

How do you convert voltmeter into ammeter?

An ammeter measures the voltage across a resistor with a known value, andfrom that it calculates the current through the resistor. The resistor has to bea very small value, so that it doesn't change the current in the circuit by beingplaced in line with it.If you really want to do this, then you need a resistor made for the purpose, with a resistance of not more than 1 ohm. You can buy one, or maybe roll upa big ball of insulated wire that has a resistance of 1/2 or 3/4 ohm. (How youwould measure that accurately is another question.) When you have thatfractional-ohm resistor, connect the voltmeter across its ends, and you haveyour ammeter. To use it, open (break) the circuit whose current you want tomeasure, and connect your meter into the hole. Read the voltmeter. Thecurrent passing through your resistor is(the voltmeter reading) divided by (the resistance of your resistor). There are other design details to consider, which we won't go into at this time.If you actually try this, don't use it to measure currents greater than maybe1 Ampere. How will you know the current before you've measured it ? That'sexactly the appropriate question. The answer is: Experience. If you haven'tgot it, then maybe you shouldn't be building your own test equipment yet.

What are 3 types of Electrification?

Three types of electrification are overhead line electrification, third rail electrification, and diesel-electric electrification. Overhead line electrification uses wires suspended above the tracks to provide power to trains, third rail electrification uses a rail alongside or between the tracks to supply power, and diesel-electric electrification uses a combination of diesel engines and electric generators to power the train.

How do you perform a voltmeter test of a battery to determine its state of charge?

You will need a digital voltmeter. Set the voltmeter to 20 volts DC. Check it with the probes. 1. 12.68 Volts = 100% Charge 2. 12.45 Volts = 75% 3. 12.24 Volts = 50% 4. 12.06 Volts = 25% 5. 11.89 Volts = 0%
