How do you play a ps2 DVD game in laptop?

You can use a TV tuner card and plug the three analog prongs (red, white, and yellow) into it, and then use the custom tv settings on your tuner instead of automatic, and it should show up. I have an HP laptop, and I used Windows Media Center, so if you have that it should work. The problem is that the latency is horrible. The sound comes through fine, but there's about 4+ seconds latency. Also, the video was very bad. it was blurry, grainy, and small. I'm still looking for an alternative method to do this, as it wasn't good enough for me to enjoy. I suggest looking for an analog cable to S-Video adapter, and either using speakers for the sound, or finding an adapter to coax. for that as well.

No you can not put a game disc in your PC and play it. If you have an emulator like the PCSX2 you might find you can finish a game but it will not be playing a game it will be completing a difficult and time consuming task see related links

You can't, because the version is different.

Detailed Answer When PS3 was released it was backward compatible and very expensive, only the 20GB, the 60 GB and model number CECHA01 of the 80GB PS3 models are backward compatible with the PS2. All other models can not play PS2 games. However the new Slim 120GB PS3 now costs only 299.99 retail and only $50 more for the 250GB version and no longer sells at a loss for Sony.

Buy a networkcard (second hand will be fine) and get an old maxtor IDE harddrive, atach it to expansion bay of (old) ps2 and atach to network. Now there are several programs to connect to your ps2 ;)

No you can't because the ps2 disc is in a different format than a DVD

disc, as a result it won't read the disc.

That is just the first of many reasons why you can not. The PC is not a PS2 and was never supposed to play PS2 games

A emulator like PCSX2 would have to be part of the laptop software and it would depend on the game and your laptop and computer skill. It is not a easy process and most laptop users do not have the computer skills to start the project. See the related link guide

You can try to do a bridge connnection between the laptop and the PS3 that's what I do with my Xbox 360...
