It depends what you want to use it for. If you mean connect it so you can access songs, pics, videos etc, you need to set up a DLNA Media Server connection.

There are 2 different ways to achieve this. One is with media server and the other is using Windows Media Player. You can try http://ps3lanconnection.blogspot.com/ or www.exoticpages.info for detailed instructions.

∙ 13y agoConnect to existing internet source using WiFi or ethernet cable then go to network settings on the PS3 and complete the connection. If you have no internet you first need to purchase access. If you do not have WiFi you can buy a wireless router for WiFi or you can buy a wired or wireless router and connect with an ethernet cable.
Or u can get the paper with all your wifi information and enter it in maually. Easy. Or Scan. Also easy.

∙ 13y agoIf the monitor has an HDMI port you can hook it up that way. If not, you can hook it up to the monitor port using a special PS3 cable. You usually can pick up these cables at your local GameStop.

∙ 13y agoThe PS3 does not Connect to a Laptop to view the PS3 or to work as a controller. You may be able to download Video, Photos and Music files with the USB connection if that is what you want to connect for.
