How do you put honey on a tree in Pokemon pearl?

Go back 6 1/4 hours later and check the tree for Pokémon. There are 5 Pokémon that you can only via use of the honey trees. First, you need to get some honey which is found on the ground, or sold in Floaroma Meadow for 100p. Secondly, you need to find a Honey tree. There is one in nearly every area, so it shouldn't be too hard. Next, put the Honey on the tree and wait 6 1/4 hours. Now simply catch the Pokémon as you would normally. The Pokémon you can get and their probabilities: Aipom - 10%

Burmy - 10%

Cherubi - 10%

Combee - 20%

Heracross - 4%

Munchlax - 1%

Cascoon (Pearl) - 15%

Silcoon (Diamond) - 15%

Wurmple - 30%

its simple just buy honey (sometimes it will be given to u by ramdom peeps) and smudge it on to the tree leave it a GOOD while a rare Pokemon will apear I done this on it does work well it did for me xx

if you go to floarma town, and keep going north and west, you will find an opening in trees. go through that opening and talk the first person you see.( you may have to battle some galactic grunts) the guy will sell you honey for 1 hundred dollars a peice. after you have the honey, go east until you see a kind've brown tree by the house.get right in front of the tree and press A. then select yes to put honey on the tree. the more honey you put on, the rarer the Pokemon will be!!

First, find a yellowish tree. Then go up to the front side of the tree, and examine it. Then it will say, "There is a sweet scent in the air... slather the bark with honey?" And if it doesn't say the last half, then that means you don't have any honey. To get honey you need to go to Floaroma Town if you aren't already there. Go to Floaroma Meadow to the North and walk along the path until you see a guy in a white shirt. You can buy Honey from him. Now examine the Honey tree and answer "yes," and it will say, "The bark was slathered with honey." Now come back in 7-12 hours and it should be shaking. Go up to it and examine it again, and a Pokémon will attack. You'll need to stock up on Poké Balls.

first you go buy some honey this is possible from the honey guy in flourama town then you slather the honey on the tree and wait keep checking the tree and see if it is shaking if it is you've caught a pokemon!
