There are many types. For some games, there are ways to do it within the game itself. one example is for Jedi Academy. One can open up the console in-game (SHIFT+~) and type /record, and a recording will ensue. To stop that recording, you type /stop.
Although, that is particularly for that game, the most easiest and widely used recording device for games is a program called FRAPS.
FRAPS is a program that you can run while playing a game, and hit a key while playing that game to start recording, and hit a key while in game to stop recording. It is very easy to use, and stores your recorded files for you in any given any you choose them to be stored.
A FRAPS Evaluation download can be downloaded at http://www.fraps.com/
With this version, you are only alotted 30 seconds of recording time. It will then automatically stop, and then you must start it again. this can be done any number of times.
You can use Fraps if your on a PC. If your on a xbox or a ps3, you can use a DVD recorder or a tv tuner that hooks up to your PC.
PS3 games do not play on PC even if the Disc is the type your PC can read and not a Blue ray disc
Not without outlandish modifications - World of Warcraft is a game for PC and Mac.
1)Have your composites out. 2)Plug your composites into a DVDR. 3)Plug your DVDR composites into a tv or computer to record. 4)Put a blank disc into the DVDR. 5)Press the record button on the DVDR to start recording. (DOES NOT WORK WITHOUT RECORD BUTTON)
Since, to my knowledge, you cannot access the dev. console in non-pc versions of skyrim, you cannot enter any cells that you cannot enter naturally through gameplay. so no.

A camera, although I highly recommend you use a PC with a Dazzle DVC 100 Capture Card
You cannot record gameplay with PlayTV, you can only record TV.
You can't yet....
The PS3 must be connected to a TV and some PC have TV capability but will not make the PS3 have any computer function during gameplay
To record your PC Minecraft gameplay you simply need screen capture software.
no it only records telus service
if you want to record a console i would use a dazzel DVD recorder if you want to record your desktop (PC game download hypercam) thank you
No. PS3, Xbox 360, and PC are the only systems. Nintendo DS also has it but it has a different name and its not the same gameplay
A PC or laptop like Alienware fully equipped in the latest technology for gameplay costs as much as both the PS3 & Xbox 360 and all the accessories and games
The built in recording setting is only for PS3, and can be accessed from the start menu during gameplay.
The PC does not play PS3
