I'm assuming by "yearly running total" you mean the electronic journal, which stores the last 5,000+ transactions.
THIS PROCESS CANNOT BE UNDONE!
To reset the electronic journal:
1. Turn the key to the Z position.
2. Using the round numeric keys, enter 280602.
3. Press the AMOUNT TENDERED key.
That should do it.
