I am currently a student studying abroad in Austria. I wanted to send some wine and beer home to the US as Christmas presents, but the post office here told me that I cannot ship any alcohol at all, nor any food, to the US. I have no idea whether this is because of Austrian regulations, EU regulations, US regulations, or any combination of the above. I realize this is a little specific, but I hope it points you in the right direction.
