Unfortunately, you cannot stop anyone from doing anything mean or dis-respectful. You can walk away from mean people, you can ignore, if you are young and in school and are being verbally harassed, you can go to a teacher or anonymously report it to a school social worker. Remember to think loving thoughts of yourself though, most often those who put you down or are mean are really just empty and insecure. Try and stay strong, share the good of you with those who treat you with love and respect, you deserve the best! Show them it doesn't bother you, stand up to them, tell them to stop it. Remember that insulting back doesn't do the trick. Roll your eyes and walk away to show them you don't care and it doesn't bother you. And if they keep on, say "Why are you wasting your time?"
