To time the Aijector Bosch pump on a MAN D0826 engine, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder one. Then, align the timing marks on the pump with the engine marks; this usually involves adjusting the pump's position slightly to achieve the correct timing. Finally, securely fasten the pump and recheck the timing to confirm proper alignment. Always refer to the manufacturer's guidelines for specific timing specifications and torque settings.

Most definitely. If he pump cuts out so does the fuel. Try a TEMPORARY fused line direct to the pump and track down the original circuit by cutting it in half step by step. Start at the tank and go half the circuit at a time towards the pump. I suggest a Chilton manual with a wiring diagram as there are often several companion circuits that may not be evident to you.
my 1997 Geo Metro acts the same way, I was able to figure out that it was a fuel problem because I sprayed some carburetor cleaner into the air filter compartment and it started, it would keep running as long as I kept spraying. I mentioned it to a mechanic friend and he suggested I replace the fuel pump relay. Based on my own experience with other cars, when its time to replace the relay it is usually time to replace the fuel pump too, because it might be starting to have a problem that causes the relay to overload.

There are three relays under the hood in a row. When you open the hood, they are on your right hand fender well. All are wired with the plug facing DOWN. The center one is the fuel pump ralay. You can use any Bosch type relay on it that has the same poles. OR you can order one from the many online sellers for around 15 dollars. The stock one has a flange to bolt it to the fender and a generic Bosch type 4 pint relay doesn't but I changed mine out after a month of fussing with no starts intermittently and now it fires off every time! I had four of the generic ones in my tool box!
