You need to go into your settings on the PS3. It should be easy to find, it's either in the accessories menu or the sound menu. You need to set the microphone accessory to the eyetoy.
You do mean the eyetoy microphone, right? Because the actual move doesn't have a built in microphone.

∙ 13y agoYou go onto the 'start new chat' option, you select 'voice/video chat' and if your PlayStation eye is plugged into the USB port it should see yourself and the red light on the camera should turn on indicating that the PlayStation Eye is active.

∙ 11y agoIt becomes active whenever it is needed, ie, there is one game in Welcome Park that uses it. If you're playing that game, the PS Vita will pick up sounds.
