Well, I think that if you have been assigned a book report on The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. you should (a) read the book and (b) write the report. This book would be an excellent one for a report since it starts the Chronicles of Narnia series and has been a best-seller ever since it was published. The movie is good preparation for a report, but be aware that there are some differences in the story line from the movie to the book, so making a report based on the movie might be dangerous. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe does not start the Narnia series. The first Book is actually called The Magician's Nephew. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is book two in the series.

It is strongly recommended that you read the book and then write the report. WikiAnswers will not do your homework for you. WikiAnswers neither condones nor permits cheating, and someone else writing your report for you would be just that.
I don't think you can do a book report without reading the book. Unless you go on line to research the book, you might be able to wright a book report on it. But for the most part, no you cannot write the report if you don't read the book first. I usually do the book report while I read the book.
A typical book report includes an introduction (summary of the book and thesis statement), a body (analysis of characters, plot, themes), and a conclusion (final thoughts and recommendation). Additional parts like a brief biography of the author and personal reflection may also be included.
