Try using the five-paragraph essay format. It isn't ideal for everything, but it is a good basis for learning to write essays.

The first paragraph should introduce your subject (in this case, the tutor you admire. Let us know some general things about this person, and then choose three specific things to focus on (for instance sense of humor, kindness, and teaching style), and tell your reader what they are.

Your second through fourth paragraphs expand on the specific things that you chose in the first paragraph.
