Buffy first met Riley at the university bookstore. While trying to reach a textbook from the top shelf, she knocked over a stack of books that landed on Riley's head. Introductions were shortly thereafter. Then she found out he was a T.A. in Dr. Maggie Walsh's psychology class. And then she found out he was a demon-fighting commando also working for Maggie Walsh. This was discovered in the acclaimed 'silent' episode, Hush. Literally rendered speechless, she was hunting down the demons responsible for the hush that had befallen the town, while unbeknownst to her, Riley was doing the same thing. In the heat of battle, they draw their weapons on each other at point blank range, (her a crossbow, him an electric gun.) Though not their initial meeting, this could answer your question too, in a way.

∙ 12y agoThe character Whistler, a demon to keep the balance between good and evil, appears in season 2 in a flashback ("Becoming part one) where he meets Angel, who is living off rats in LA, he takes him to Sunnydale to see Buffy as she is "Called" to be the slayer. Angel decides he must help Buffy in her quest and turns his life around. We first see him in the episode "Angel" where he is tracking her and gives her a Cross.

∙ 14y agowell angel was her first love and when they had sex and what happened when he changed into evil angel and when she killed him when he just got his humanity back she lost a bit of her soul and it hurt her deep and then he came back to life and then he had to leave and went to LA. she always loved him and it changed her cause she could not have a real good relationship with anybody else. and when angel got his own show he still had feelings for Buffy.

Who Buffy truly love Angel or Spike?
Angel and Buffy were togather till season 3 or 4. Then Angel left on buffys graduation day to L.A. to protect her. Then buffy falls inlove with spike in season 6. Buffy obviously loves both Angel and Spike, but its Angel she truly loves. I hope this answer isn't biased or anything, for I am a Bangel shipper(though I like Spuffy too).
Do Buffy the vampire slayer and angel run together If so at which season of Buffy should you start watching Angel?
They do sometimes, but it is not essential to watch one show to understand the other. For example, at the end of Season 4 of Angel, Angel is given an amulet to deliver to Buffy so she can win an important battle. When Angel arrives in Buffy's show, he gives it to her, with little needed explanation as to what happened in Angel's show. By watching both, it's definitely easier to understand plot points, but again, it is not completely essential. Anyway, Angel started during Buffy's 4th season, so the seasons coincide as such, "Buffy" and "Angel" respectively: 4-1, 5-2, 6-3, 7-4, then Angel's last season, 5, happens after "Buffy" has ended.
