Lasers are basically everywhere. They are used to read information off of CDs, DVDs, and are used in DVD players, Blu-ray players, and CD-ROMs.

In more recent cars, they are being used for parking assistance, and even help out with some high tech driving technology.

Lasers are also used in performing surgeries. Not only are the cuts more precise, but laser surgery helps the wound to heal faster and cleaner. There are different types of lasers too. Some are used for picky people to remove things such as birth marks. There are much smaller lasers that help make minuscule incisions, as to allow for fiber optic cable to be inserted so that the surgeon can see damaged tissue.

Some other uses include helping with more precise drilling for mining, directing missiles in warfare, checking environmental hazards (toxins, radioactivity, etc...) from a distance, and many more.

Hope my post helped :)
