It passed a much smaller vessel called the New York. the Titanic having such big propellers sucked the New york away from its dock. The New York's mooring lines snapped as it was slowly pulled toward the Titanin tug boats came in and pulled the New York away. this is the only close call the titanic had in a port. But it would later hit an iceberg and sink 2 and a half miles under water.
