The length of day in any desert depends upon its latitude and the season of the year. It has nothing at all to do with the fact that it is a desert. A desert would receive the same amount of daylight as a non desert region at the same latitude.
Over a year's period the desert averages 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness per year. In summer the desert may have 14-15 hours of daylight and 9-10 hours of darkness. In the winter those numbers are reverses.
Most hot deserts are located near the tropics where the sunlight is most intense in the summer. Also, deserts generally have few clouds or humidity that would act as a shield against the sunlight.
