The country is doing well on the food, although there is a decent amount of poverty and the country isn't necessarily thriving there is absolutely no famine, just a lack of money for everyone.

An LEDC is a less economically developed country and so an medc is a more economically developed country. In my opinion Sierra Leone is an LEDC as there has been 11 years of civil war led by the Revolutionary United Front (RUF) under Foday Sankoh. Although Sierra Leone is a very rich country due to the vast number of diamonds, it is has many diseases such as Cholera, HIV/AIDS and Kwashiorkor (protein deficiency).
