he has Two brother. his name is Portgas D Ace or fire fist Ace and Sabo. actually Aceand Sabo is not his brother by blood, Ace is the son of the pirate king Gol D Roger. when roger was arrested by Garp (the grandfather of Luffy) Roger requested Garp to take care of his son not to be killed by the government. Garp took Ace and claimed that Ace is his grandson along with Luffy (which is his real grandson by blood, the son of his son Monkey D Dragon) to be saved from the government.
