Ross married his college girlfriend, Carol. The marriage ended because she was a lesbian, but after their separation, they find out that she was pregnant with their son, Ben. This occurs before and during Season 1.

During Season 4, Ross meets a British woman named Emily. After a whirlwind romance, he proposes after dating for a few weeks. Within a month, they get married at the end of Season 4. But Ross famously says the wrong name at the altar and eventually they get divorced during Season 5.

The friends go to Vegas and while drunk, Ross marries Rachel during the Season 5 finale. At the beginning of the next season, Ross is supposed to get the marriage annulled but he doesn't because he doesn't like that he had 3 failed marriages. Rachel eventually finds this out and they get divorced.

In the spin off, Joey, he says that all of his friends had gotten married and had kids in New York, meaning that Ross married Rachel again.
