Out of about 3000 men, only 2 died, so it was a very small number - it's a ridiculously tiny percentage when you type it into a calculator.

8 lives were lost during the construction of the Titanic, not 2.

There were 254 recorded accidents: 69 in the engine works, of which 6 were listed as 'severe,' and 185 in the shipyard, 8 of which were fatalities.

*First to die: Samuel Scott, (Catcher Boy) aged 15, died on 20/4/1910 when he slipped off a ladder.

* John Kelly, (Heater Boy) aged 19, died on 23/6/1910 from shock after falling from the slipway onto the ground.

*William Clarke (Driller) aged 27, died 5/11/1910 from being crushed under falling timber, he died a day later.

*James Dobbins (Shipwright) no age specified, died 31/5/1911 from wood beams falling on top of him the day the Titanic was being launched.

*Robert James Murphy (Rivet Counter) No aged specified, died on 13/6/1911 from a fractured skull after the staging he was standing on collapsed and fell 30ft to the ground.

I have only been able to verify 5 of the 8 fatalities so far.....still doing my research on this topic.
