I believe there were approximately 1700 to 1800 people on board the ill-fated liner, counting crew and passengers. answer 2Built with a capacity of 3,547 passengers and crew, fully loaded. At the time of sinking out of a total of 2,223 people 706 survived.

Well, it carried 1,362 people which was good fo its time.
The Titanic was a passenger liner that sank in the Atlantic Ocean after hitting an iceberg. The giant vessel could carry, at maximum, 3547 people. However, there were only 2223 people aboard the Titanic, including the crew.
they could fit more people on the life boats but they were to scared to go back ould to i would leave them i would get my family and jack a life boat
