Silent movies?
Talking pictures, also known as sound films, began with the release of "The Jazz Singer" in 1927, which is widely considered the first significant "talkie." This film marked the transition from silent films to those with synchronized sound, revolutionizing the film industry. Prior to this, there were experiments with sound in film as early as the late 19th century, but they were not commercially successful.
