No statistics are keep of how often Pat Sajak spins 5000 on the final spin of Wheel of Fortune
He must have because he has spun it for the final spin over 5,000 times. I don't know whether he spins it again or if they default to a certain dollar prize and have read about both. If he does either they do edit it from any broadcast because I watched and DVR enough shows that I would have seen an unedited spin Yes, many times. When it happens, he simply spins again. Interestingly, I watched a Chuck Woolery-hosted episode where he hit Bankrupt 3 times in a row. He just grabbed the wheel and moved it ahead to the next number.
