Well, at that time, the sewerage system had not yet been invented. For the royal family there were arrangements made though, they had special poop-chairs. It looked like chairs with a big hole in it, with a bucket underneath. For the rest of all the thousands inhabitants of Versailles, nothing was arranged. Most of them used buckets and emptied those on the courtyard. So, there are no toilets as we know them today in Versailles at all.
