There have been the following tours in Australia:
1. Melbourne, Australia, July 12, 2008 - August 9, 2009;
2. Sydney, September 12, 2009 - September 26, 2010;
3. The Australian National Tour, since January 25, 2011.
The following tours have taken place in Asia:
1. Tokyo, Japan, June 17, 2007 - September 6, 2009;
2. Osaka, Japan, October 11, 2009 - February 13, 2011;
3. Fukuoka, Japan, April 3, 2011 - August 28, 2011;
Additionally, "Wicked" tours are scheduled for Nagyoa, Japan and for Scheveningen, Netherlands in late 2011.

Wicked was opened for a pre-Broadway show on May 28, 2003 at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco. Lyrics and music of Wicked was by Stephen Schwartz and the musical staging was taken care by Wayne Cilento. Eugene Lee, Tony Award-winning designer, created a set and visual style for the production. The play's lighting engineer Kenneth Posner used more than 800 individual lights to give the unique feeling and mood to all the scenes. The trial run finished on June 29 and after minor transformations play was set out on Broadway on 30 October, 2003.
