That was the conversion rate at the time France stopped using francs and adopted the euro as its currency. However, if the question refers to a 5-franc coin dated earlier than 1960, the situation is a lot more complex. France revalued the franc due to inflation, and older coins may be worth either very little if they're common circulation pieces or much more if they're scarcer collectibles.

It is worth whatever someone will pay for it as a collector's item, which is not much considering how common the bills are. It no longer has any value as a currency (which would have been around $10 USD) when the French Franc was still legal tender.
