Some is true...there are many inaccuracies, but they got some right.
Achilles fought for the Greeks, but stopped because he was angry with Menelaus for taking away his slave girl, Briseus. His cousin/boy he rescued (two different stories) Patroclus fought in Achilles' armor and was killed by Hector. Achilles was angry, so he began to fight again. He killed Hector, dragging him around the walls of Troy 7 times. He later gave Hector's body back to his father, Priam. Achilles was killed by Paris during the sack of Troy. Paris shot him in the right heel, his only weak spot.
There are many difference in the movie from the actual story written by Homer. Let me point out some of those
