It depends of if they have prior convictions or not and how severe the assualt was and what the age of the juvi is. It could range from probation to a small jail term. Probably probation and maybe a fine if it is a first offense and no serious injuries involved.

Yes, It's called "Juvie" or Juvenile Detention Center. You can receive a Juvenile Life sentence and be incarcerated until you are 21 years old.

Some states the parents can also be held responsible too.

Your best bet is to not look too far into which one your state does and just avoid conflict all together.

What happens if you run away from Division of youth services custody?

you can go to jail if your parent decides to press charges on you. its against the law to runaway as a minor. you need to contact social services first and see if they will do anything for you. its not the easiest running away either you pretty much have to stay inside and cannot be seen by police or they will take you either to jail or back home. you can think about getting emancipated which is like getting divorced from your parents you can leave and move out and noone can do anything you can go to jail if your parent decides to press charges on you. its against the law to runaway as a minor. you need to contact social services first and see if they will do anything for you. its not the easiest running away either you pretty much have to stay inside and cannot be seen by police or they will take you either to jail or back home. you can think about getting emancipated which is like getting divorced from your parents you can leave and move out and noone can do anything

How much jail time for assalt and battery on a 16 year old if the assalter is a 32 year old adult?

REALISTIC ANSWER: Assault is assault. If the juvenile were younger the charge against the perpetrator might include an 'enhanced' penalty due to the age of the child., However, when the minor is 16-year old it seems somewhat unlikely unless there are extenuating circumstances or the assault was especially brutal.
