At the end of "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly," Blondie (Clint Eastwood) ultimately gets $200,000 in gold. After a tense standoff, he digs up the hidden treasure and takes it for himself, leaving Tuco (Eli Wallach) behind. Blondie's final act is to ride off with the gold, having outsmarted both Tuco and Angel Eyes (Lee Van Cleef).
Because despite being an anti-hero blondie has a good heart. Like giving a cigar for the dying soldier to smoke and covering him up with his coat. The bad (angel eyes) kills anyone for the right price and allows people to be beaten up under his nose at the war camp. The ugly (tuco) is both bad and good, where he tries to kill blondie, but also saves him. He does things his way being a bandit, which was the ugly way, the hard way as he says to his brother.
In the movie The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966 ), Eli Wallach plays "the Ugly", also known as Tuco.

Because the Good removed the bullets from the Ugly's gun without the Ugly knowing about it. The Good (Clint Eastwood), the Bad (Lee Van Cleef), and the Ugly (Eli Wallach) face off in a cemetery at the end of the movie. The Good kills the Bad as the Ugly realizes his gun isn't loaded. Then the Good forces the Ugly to stand atop a rickety wooden cross with a noose around his neck. As the Good rides away he shoots the noose, freeing the Ugly. The Ugly then realizes that the Good has left at least one bag of gold. So, although he lost the duel, at least the Ugly makes off with some reward for his troubles.
His character name was ANGEL EYES, his real name is LEE VAN CLEEF by telepole13 This is true in the U.S. version of the movie. Van Cleef died last century after a long, colorful career in the movie industry. However, in the Italian version of the movie, the title is a little different, and it might lead you to think that Eli Walsh (El torio) was the Bad. The Italian version of the promo relects THEIR order of the names...The Good, The Beast, and the Bad This has produced much confusion over the years.
