Jon and Kate alternate custody of the kids. Jon has the kids for several days and Kate has the kids for several days. Kate has more days with the kids than Jon, though.
Jon has custody with his children on the days that Kate consents for him to spend time with them. For the first year+ after the divorce, Kate maintained tight control of the kids, preferring to leave the children with a nanny rather than allowing them to be cared for by their dad.
