Great Western
There is no single desert known as the Great Western Desert. The Great Western Desert refers to the region in Australia made up of three deserts: the Gibson, the Great Sandy and the Great Victoria deserts. This region is primarily in Western Australia, and also includes part of the Northern Territory.
Isambard Kingdom Brunel, a prominent 19th-century engineer, designed and built several notable ships, including the SS Great Western, which was the first steamship to provide regular transatlantic service. He also created the SS Great Britain, which was the first iron-hulled, steam-powered ship to cross the Atlantic.
