It depends. I think it may be rated one of the following:
G: General Audiences - Which means for all audiences
PG: Some Parental Guidance is suggested - That means, it is appropriate, but may have something such as crude humor or swashbuckling action or some scary moments.
PG-13: Same as above, but for children under 13. it depends on the child.
In the United States, it is rated R for crude and sexual content, pervasive language, and some drug use. This means you will need to be 17 years of age, or with a parent of guardian.
In other countries:
Canada:14A (Ontario)
Australia:MA15+
Netherlands:12
Ireland:16
UK:15
It's PG-13, so guidance is recommended under that age but no age requirement as far as I know.

What happened in 1912 is that the titanic sunk and many lives were lost after they went straight into an ice burg. For example if you wanted to watch a film about this it would obviously be titanic with Kate Winslet and leonardo DiCaprio WATCH IT IT IS A GOOD FILM !
