an interesting question and i would like to know it myself too. he doesn't cut his hair or shave or anything and still he doesn't have a beard so this can mean that he's still in his late puberty(like 17-19). But he doesn't have hair on his body overall, maybe the creators wanted to show the contrast between the gorillas and men. I don't know really, prehaps 19-22.

In Disney's 1999 Tarzan film, it is just shown that Tarzan's father died when he was just a baby.
