The density varies depending on where in Canada but the average density is 3.7 people per square Kilometre. This is based on 2011 statistics from the Government of Canada. If you break it down by province or territory, you can see some interesting variations. Nfd & Labrador - 1.4 PEI - 24.7 Nova Scotia - 17.4 New Brunswick - 10.5 Quebec - 5.8 Ontario - 14.1 Manitoba - 2.2 Sask - 1.8 Alberta - 5.7 BC - 4.8 Yukon - 0.1 NWT - 0.0 Nunavut - 0.0 The NWT and Nunavut have very small populations but vast amts of land so the actual density figure makes it look as though no one lives there. It's just because the density percentage is so low, it's below .1
Niagara Falls (Ont.), it's one of the wonders of the world...amazing Moose Jaw (Sask.)... they have a "tunnel tour" of the tunnels under the city. Supposedly used by Al Capone to traffick alcohol to the US Drumheller (Alberta)... the amazing Tyrrell Museum. Dinosaurs will always be cool. Especially when you can go on a dig yourself! Jasper (Alberta) the drive along the Icefield Parkway to Jasper is absolutely beautiful! And Jasper is less touristy than Banff. Vancouver (BC) Stanley Park has so much to see! An aquarium, the giant trees, the ocean..a must see Victoria (BC) The Bouchart Gardens are breathtaking! Happy travels!
