Chippettes, they are far more human-like than their male counterparts. it is almost ( beyond argument) that both the chipmunks ( Theodore, Simon, and Alvin,) and the Chippettes, a.k.a. the Miller sisters, Brittany, Jeannette, and Eleanor, along with Maestro de Publicity David Seville- were a take-off and a good one on Phil Spector and let us get it right, Veronica-Theodore Estel-Simon and Nedra-Alvin- the Ronettes. the Chippettes character Jeannette, the name is not only French sounding but she wears specs and is somewhat embarrassed by this handicap- so was Estelle- the Late Estelle Bennett of the Ronettes. the whole thing is a satire on the Ronettes.
