Kevin died because his heart was too big for his body and he knew he was gonna die young. Actually that story on how he was going to have the first robot body and that he needed Max to write about his adventures with Kevin because he wouldn't have enough time to write because "he'll be trying to get used to his knew body." Which is another way of saying that he is going to die. Also was just an excuse not to tell mx that he was going to die
