Yes, they do and the weather does as well. A crop that needs warm climate and and area where there is more sun than snow will grow. The seasons also determine when to plant crops. If a person is growing grapes at the end of the season in late fall he/she cuts back the vines so they are dormant in the winter months. In Spring he/she will make sure the vines have wire to grow on as they begin to grow through the summer into the fall when the grapes will be cut for raisins or sold for table grapes. Cotton is planted in the early Spring and in the early fall the bolls open. Soon after that the plant is killed so the cotton bolls can be picked in the fall months. Because of the boll worn the picked cotton plant has to be plowed under for the winter months. These are just two examples of crops and how the seasons determine growth.
The seasons affect the agricultural practices because you need to plant certain crops at certain times and if you don't do that, than you are doomed. You would have to think before you do anything or it may end up that you just wasted hundreds of dollars because you planted a summer crop in the winter and it withered and died. Think before you plant.

The value of agricultural goods decreased as farmers yielded more crops during successful seasons. Because of the surplus, the prices went down and it became less profitable. Paired with the risks associated with drought and flood seasons, farming became less financially viable.
The scientific knowledge of seasons and climate has influenced farming and agricultural practices by the ability to forecast when growing seasons will occur and what crops are able to be planted in a certain area to ensure full growth and productivity.
