The healthy height for average four year old boy is probably 3'4-3'6. Don't get worried if he is smaller then that since many children at that age have not yet started hitting bigger growth spurts. The height of a child is mainly determined by their genetics, if one of their ancestors was 6 feet there's a larger chance that your child will be 6 feet. That's not always definite though sometimes height can skip a generation, but the chances are if he was born in a tall family he will be tall. If your still worried about him being too short though, a quick way that's almost guaranteed to work is having good posture. Don't be strict about it but if he has a tenancy to slouch it could be harder for him to grow, but still at age four its not that important. Bad posture is a bad habit to get into.
