poor people lived in the cities and rich lived outside the city and bought lots of land so they could build mansions.

it was the gilded age- gilded age is like a gold covered ring, its nice on the outside but on the inside its terrible :)

Differences:

We use engines to drive our cars and other mobiles while they used horse power.

They used lanterns to light up their streets and we use street lamps.

They had porches in front of their houses

We don't wear fancy clothes every day
