Where and when was the titanic first thought of?

The Titanic was first thought of in Morgan Robertson's novel, Futility. In the novel, a large passenger ship called the Titan is described as 'unsinkable'. However, the ship hits an iceberg in the North Atlantic, sinks, and almost everyone on board drowns. The story is similar to the Titanic, however the details are quite different.Morgan Robertson wrote his famous novel 14 years before the Titanic sank. Some say he 'predicted' it would happen.
