Feminism is in Gone with the Wind in the way that women are portrayed during this time period. During this time women were known as being dainty, shouldn't bother with matters of government, were supposed to be the perfect hostess, and to run the plantation as well as the house slaves and children. Throughout the novel you see the heroine, Scarlett, start to sort of overcome some of the views of feminism and mold into a more independent woman.
