Conservative news is best described as news that covers topics with a conservative slant. For instance, a conservative news piece might criticize a government move to constrict the free trade market.
There are few who would argue the bias of the media is liberal. Overwhelmingly.
no its actually more liberal
View 1Because the Republican party agenda best serves CEO Rupert Murdoch's and News Corps' investors' power and financial interests. FOX has proven to be an excellent vehicle for "educating" the masses by pandering to their fears and established beliefs, thus influencing the vote. In other words, it's a propaganda factory.View 2One reason could be because the other networks are all so ultra left, being mainly responsible for the election of Obama, pandering to him at every turn during the election, while McCain was made to look like a buffoon.
FOX News is generally regarded as a conservative, pro-Republican television network. While some of their news anchors (Shep Smith, Chris Wallace and Bret Baier, for example) are known for being fair and not very ideological, their evening commentators like Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity, and their weekday morning program "Fox and Friends" are identifiably conservative and often promote Republican causes or disseminate Republican talking points. It should be noted, however, that even on Fox, some commentators are more conservative than others, with Bill O'Reilly at times being more libertarian than conservative. Fox does have an occasional liberal (usually a centrist Democrat) as a panelist or guest, and sometimes news anchors invite Democratic politicians on the air for interviews. But in general, the vast majority of what is on Fox News conforms to a pro-Republican set of ideas and principles.
There are news stations on every end of the political spectrum. Many news stations deliver a left-leaning bias. There is a whole list of major news agencies and which way they lean, as far as political bias, at Politic Nation .com.

Liberal
Yes, Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation is known for having conservative-leaning media outlets such as Fox News in the United States and The Sun in the United Kingdom. The company's editorial stance generally aligns with conservative principles.
It all depends on who runs the company. Despite what ANY news source tells you, it's going to have its bias's. Of course Fox News Channel's prime time line-up is conservative. It's no secret, they'll tell you they are. Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Hannity, etc. will all tell you that they are conservative and their shows are simply commentaries on the news that is portrayed in the media. So of course their views are bias. What people have to understand is that there are some shows on Fox News that are conservative opinion shows while others try to be "fair & balanced," mainly the ones where they actually report the news, such as "America's News Headquarters" and "The Special Report." To get back to your original question, one can only speculate. I would surmise that it has a much more conservative line-up then any other news channel because the other seven network news companies all have liberal commentary shows with Fox being the only channel featuring conservative view points out of the eight major news networks. The logic probably is if everyone else is liberal, let's go the other way and be conservative. Afterall, News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch (parent company of Fox News) actually endorsed Barack Obama during the 2008 United States presidential election. With the mainstream news media so obviously left-wing-biased, it makes good business sense to offer the alternative to a major, conservative market.
