My daughter is 5'2" and her husband is 5'8". Their son is 5'11" at age 15. You don't necessarily get your height from your parents, you could get it from your grandparents or great grandparents. My grandson is expected to be about 6'2" like his grandfather. I'm short too. I'm 15 and 5'1'' while my younger sister is 12 and 6'2''. The thing that sucks the most is that I'm eye level with her cleavage (34C).

Can a 15 year old stay at home alone in CA for 5 days?

yes If the 15-year old is generally reliable and well-behaved, it should be safe to leave him/her at home alone for a few hours. Some reasonable rules should be established, such as no visitors, no prolonged telephone calls, no leaving the home except in case of fire or other emergency requiring evacuation, no behavior or activities that would not be permitted if a parent were at home. In addition, information should be given to the child, in writing, including the parents' location, a telephone number where the parents' can be reached, who may be called if the parents cannot be reached (e.g., a relative, neighbor or close friend of the family) what time the parents expect to come home, and any activities or chores the child is expected to do. The parents should call home, by telephone land line, at least once while away to be sure the child is at home and that everything is alright. A minor should not be left at home alone overnight.
