No, most of Indiana is flat. However, some portions of southern & northeastern Indiana have smooth and steep hills.
obsidian is an igneous rock, it is not formed from sediment, or a rock going under heat and pressure for the second time it is formed when a volcano erupts and it cools very quickly giving it a smooth glossy surface like glass.
The duration of Velvet Smooth is 1.55 hours.
the elephant is big and not smooth but violet is smooth
The surface features of the earth "disappear" as one gets farther from it. It has to do with resolution. In general, if the earth was viewed from the moon without an optical aid, no surface features would be visible save clouds, oceans, land masses, and the like. And not for sure on all of them, either. Some will be seen and some of them will not be clearly distinguishable. But with a big telescope - bam! There's home! Sometimes when we look at a picture of the earth taken from space we may, without realizing it, begin to view a portion of it with "the mind's eye" instead of looking at the photo. We "know" what is there, even if we can't "see" it in the pic, can't make it out or resolve it. Lastly, a six mile high mountain isn't that much compared to a ball of material that is about 8000 miles in diameter....
Mountains are jagged because that is how they are formed. As they get older, erosion will begin to smooth them out so they appear rounder.
The Appalachian and the Smokey Mtns. The are relatively old and weather worn mountains (smooth) as compared to 'young' mountains like the Rockies or the Alps, which are jagged with rugged, sharp peaks.
Earth is relatively smooth compared to many other small planets and planetoids. It is not smooth from a purely human perspective. For anyone who has hiked to the peaks in Glacier Park, and then realized that there are mountains three times as high, the world does not appear smooth. The roughness on the earth's surface (mountains and valleys) amounts to about 1/1000 of the earth's radius, which makes it pretty smooth as planets go.
The Appalachians are older than the Rockies, and they are weathered and smooth. The Rockies are jagged and rough. The Appalachian mountains are covered with trees and brush, and many of the Rocky mountains are bare rock.
Wind and water erosion makes the mountains smooth.

Yes
It cannot be compared to a highway, but it can be compared to a dairy farm.
glazier
glaciers can be smooth and rough depends on how their formed
If the mountain has jagged edges and lots of exposed rock, it is most likely young. Older mountains have been worn smooth by wind and weather and appear to be more rounded. In the United States, the Appalachians in the east are very old mountains and are generally very rounded and smooth in appearance. In the west, the mountains are jagged and are relatively young mountains.
What kind of glacier forms when ice and snow build up in a mountain valley
