Kissing on the cheeks works for everyone (although it may look weird, although not as weird as it would be in the West, for guys to kiss on the cheeks). However, grandchildren from a traditional conservative family usually bow or even try to kiss the knees of their grandparents before they are taken up and kissed on both cheeks.
