In my 88 Ford ranger the right blinker doesnt work when the headlights are on and the right headlight is dim there doesnt seem to be a bad ground what else could it be?

check the condition of the terminals and wires for the connector, look for green or white corrosion and splits,cracks, or breaks in the wires. Exposed copper will turn green or will seem to have a coating on it and will eat its way far into the wire, clean the connections well and scratch the connector terminals till you can see good copper, and replace any corroded wires.

not sure if this is the answer but have you checked to see if you have a ground wire that is loose or the connection is bad? as a bad ground connection will give you less voltage to the headlight/headlights and they will be rather dim. check your connections to make sure they are snug.
