I disagree, in the episode "Broken Bird" we find out that Ducky was accused of killing a young man in a war prisoner camp in Afghanistan(?) while he was a medic there. He was stabbed in the hand by the sister. It turns out that he gave the man a bigger dose of a pain killer to prevent him from being repeatedly tortured and he died-however, Ducky hadn't forgiven himself for taking a life, no matter the reason. He starts crying in Dr. Jordan Hampton's arms at the end of the episode.
